How about having male and female santa suits for sale at some crafters in addition to the festival hats (or in lieu if both aren't possible). I'll leave stats and bonuses up to Anet (+energy armor would be fine if Anet is going the functional route).

If Anet wants to go by looks only, maybe the "armor" could be a chest piece or a hat that overrides the looks of an entire avatar's normal armor looks.

If you guys haven't already gotten to work on it, maybe you all can do something similar for the next dragon festival. Kimonos would be a cool reward if you ask me.

that would take a lot of programming. all the different body sizes (whereas all heads are the same size), female/male version, big boobs/small boobs, etc etc

ehhhhh...

thats a lot more work for anet, and tbh, I like hats better then full body santa suits....a little variety might not hurt, but I would probably never wear a full suit that made me look like santa...plus, what about the jews (like me) out there? notice how it isnt a christmas festival, its wintersday, and how, yes, there are some christmas themes (like the tree), it isnt all overt...

While we're at it, make it Holiday Obsidian Armor

You need 105 Candy Cane Shards and 105 Globs of Frozen Ecto

No, wait. That's taking this a bit too far. Full body items were never really what holidays in GW were about. Can't see it being that way in the future. If they wanted us to be Santas, they'd make a tonic to do it more easily...
